SEND A KID TO CAMP
Let’s Invest Together in the Children and Youth of South Los Angeles
The Summer Camp Fund for Mann UCLA Community School
Few children from Mann UCLA Community School in South Los Angeles have the chance to attend summer camp. We want to work with you to change that.
UCLA Education is partnering with UCLA UNICAMP, the official philanthropy of the Students of UCLA, to make summer camp possible for these kids, who live in one of the most high poverty, underserved, and challenging neighborhoods in California. Campers at UCLA UNICAMP will have the opportunity to explore the outdoors and participate in traditional camp programs such as archery, arts and crafts, and also have the chance to push themselves with programs such as the alpine climbing tower, sailing, or mountain biking.
Mann UCLA Community School is UCLA Education’s new partner middle/high school in South Los Angeles. Previously, Horace Mann Middle School, the school is a wonderful opportunity for the community, UCLA, and LAUSD to work together to share a quality public education experience for the children and families in South Los Angeles. The school is Grades 6 to 10 and will expand through Grade 12 over the next two years. UCLA is honored to be working with leaders in this community on creating new pathways to success for the young people in this neighborhood.
