IS Colloquium: Virginia Eubanks

Join us for the UCLA Information Studies Department’s panel discussion on data and surveillance in communities here in Los Angeles. We are hosting Virginia Eubanks, author of Digital Dead End: Fighting for Social Justice in the Information Age, and members of the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition in a discussion on the use of data for predictive policing in and surveillance of particular local communities.

The event is free and open to the public.

Place: Graduate School of Education and Information Studies (GSEIS), Room 111
Time: Thursday, May 12 at 3pm

We will have a reception immediately following the panel.
