The Diversity Research Institute provides state-of-the-art research and practice frameworks to assess campus diversity and its impact on student outcomes. Participants will use problem solving skills to understand how assessment can be used to improve diverse learning environments. You will learn about:
- The latest diversity research
- The importance of campus climate
- The impact of diversity on student outcomes
- Evidence on the educational benefits of diversity
In this intensive, hands-on, two-day program, led by HERI director, Sylvia Hurtado, you will learn new strategies to put your institution on a path toward supporting and enhancing diversity and civic engagement initiatives on campus.
You will also receive training on how to use the CIRP Diverse Learning Environments Survey, designed specifically to assess climate, institutional practices and important student outcomes.
