Wasserman Dean’s Office
A Message from the Wasserman Dean
The 21st century is placing unprecedented demands on our education systems and redefining our information networks. Education and information are more important than ever. Our responsibility moving forward is preparing the next generation of scholars and practitioners for transformative work in an ever more diverse, interconnected, and miniaturized world. As we prepare to celebrate UCLA’s centennial campaign, the timing couldn’t be better to address these challenges.
UCLA’s Graduate School of Education & Information Studies is reframing conversations on education and information studies from theory to practice. Together, our world-class departments, demonstration schools, and research centers make up an institution known for its extraordinary diversity, collaborative spirit, and dedication to solving the most pressing issues in education and information studies.
We have before us a remarkable opportunity to reimagine the future of K-12 education. Our city’s demography, economy, and society announces the future of the American experience like no other city. All eyes are on Los Angeles. All eyes are on UCLA. And together, we’ll pioneer what’s next.
