Stephanie Patterson is a third year doctoral student in PSE under the guidance of Dr. Connie Kasari. Her program of research focuses on intervention programming for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Specifically, she is interested in helping community stakeholders (including parents, clinicians, and teachers) support the development of children with ASD through community-based services. In addition, as a professional figure skating coach, she is interested in developing programs and supports to help children with ASD and their families engage in skill based sport programs. Steph is a 2010 Autism Speaks Weatherstone Fellow, Autism Research Training Program Trainee, and a Doctoral Foreign Study Award Fellow through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
