I have been working in the field of education for approximately 18 years and am currently working as a sixth grade English, History and Avid teacher in Lancaster, California. I served as a sergeant in the United States Army for ten years while simultaneously attending school and receiving my bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University. I am currently in the PLI (Principal Leadership Institute) Graduate Program at UCLA studying administrative leadership and social justice issues as it relates to bringing academic excellence and equity to urban schools.
